Kevin de Bruyne included three of his Manchester City colleagues when asked to pick the best five-a-side team of players who he played with, but reserved extra special place for a Tottenham Hotspur star.
The Belgian selected Joe Hart in goal, Vincent Kompany in defence and Sergio Aguero up front, with a midfield of Luiz Gustavo and Mousa Dembele, whom he described as ‘best 5-a-side player in the world’.
“He is so strong on the ball and you can never take the ball off him,” De Bruyne told City TV of the Spurs midfielder, and his international teammate. “Offensively and defensively, one of the best.”
Dembele has been in superb form in Tottenham’s tilt at the Premier League title this season, and we agree that his combination of strength and skill makes him almost the ideal five-a-side player.
