Arsenal confirmed line-up vs Middlesbrough: Influential ace misses out as Wenger makes changes from midweek

Arsenal welcome Middlesbrough to the Emirates on Saturday afternoon looking to extend their impressive run of form so far this season.

The Gunners are on a seven-game winning streak and haven’t lost since the opening weekend of the season as they look to try and move clear at the top of the Premier League table.

In order to do that though they must see off a Boro side also desperate for a result having picked up just six points so far this season, with goal difference keeping them out of the bottom three for the time being.

As for Arsene Wenger’s starting line-up as seen below, the French tactician has brought Petr Cech, Nacho Monreal and Alex Iwobi back into the team, while Santi Cazorla misses out after picking up a knock in the win over Ludogorets in the Champions League in midweek.

Mohamed Elneny comes into the starting XI to replace the Spaniard, with Arsenal hoping that changes don’t disrupt their momentum as they look to produce a more convincing display than last time out in the Premier League with their 3-2 win over Swansea City last weekend.

Granit Xhaka misses out due to suspension after being sent off in that game, but otherwise in-form stars Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez will all hope to continue to make a decisive impact.
