Wantaway Arsenal talisman offered mammoth £300k-a-week deal after Wenger row

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez was dropped for the Liverpool game at the weekend after a series of rows with Arsene Wenger, according to reports.

The Chilean international was a shock admission at Anfield in a huge game for the Gunners in terms of their hopes of finishing in the top four in the Premier League.

However, the 3-1 defeat was damaging in itself, but The Mirror report that Sanchez has made it clear that he wants to quit the club as Wenger opted to leave him out over doubts surrounding his attitude.

It’s claimed that the 28-year-old fell foul of his manager after the 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last month, with his attitude being slammed having turned on his teammates.

Further, the report adds that Sanchez’s attitude and work-rate has been questioned in training since, and it appears as though he’s ultimately decided that he’s ready to leave with no progress being made in his contract talks as his current deal is set to expire next summer.

While the Arsenal star has been offered a £180,000-a-week deal to extend his stay in north London, it looks as though he’s merely moving further away from committing his future to the club.

In fact, the Mirror claim that Paris Saint-Germain are willing to pay around £300,000-a-week and are confident in their ability to sign him, while Calciomercato report that both Juventus and Inter are ready to swoop and take advantage of the situation.

It’s a worrying time for Arsenal supporters who will obviously be desperate to see their star man stay, as he has proven this season with 20 goals and 17 assists in 35 appearances in all competitions that he’s their leading man.

However, with his contract running down and all not being well, it all points to an exit this summer with Wenger’s future still yet to be decided too.
