Chelsea are hopeful of landing Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia when his contract expires in the summer, according to Calciomercato.
Though the Blues have no shortage of options in the middle of the park, with Cesc Fabregas, Nemanja Matic and Nathaniel Chalobah all capable partners for N’Golo Kante, none of them have so far been able to establish himself as a cornerstone in Antonio Conte’s side.
The Italian could subsequently look to add to his squad in the summer transfer window, and Calciomercato believe he already has a good idea of who he wants to bring in.
Calciomercato report that Chelsea are interested in signing Lazio star Lucas Biglia. The Italian outlet report that Biglia’s contract with the Serie A giants expires at the end of the season, meaning he is able to join any club on a free transfer. Signing a player of the Argentine’s quality without paying a penny would be shrewd business by the Premier League leaders.
