Manchester United are looking to tempt away Real Madrid star Mateo Kovacic with the midfielder struggling to cement consistent game time under his belt at the Bernabeu.
A report from the respected Italian outlet CalcioMercato has stated that Kovacic is continuing to see his game time limited at Real Madrid and the 23-year-old is now desperate to find regular playing time.
The report suggests that Manchester United could provide the necessary playing time that Kovacic desires with the United board looking at tempting the star with a move away from La Liga.
However, Jose Mourinho and Man United could face a battle on their hands to secure the signature of the star with Tottenham, Inter and Juventus all reported to also be interested in the midfielder.
Kovacic moved to Real Madrid from Inter in 2015 but the star has struggled to earn a regular place in Zidane’s midfield ever since and has made just 17 appearances in all competitions this season.
CalcioMercato report that the fee for Kovacic could be in the region of €31m.
