As per Goal, the midfield said:  “I’m going to Barcelona to talk to my representative about this matter,

“I have an offer from China and another from another club, although it is not certain that I will go. We have to talk.”

Paulinho enjoyed a stellar campaign at the Camp Nou and was a key figure in the Catalan giants’ midfield.

He ended the season with nine goals and three assists in 49 appearances, and won a domestic double by lifting the La Liga title and Copa del Rey – making 34 appearances in the league.

Mundo Deportivo reported that he’s ‘very close’ to re-joining Guangzhou in a deal worth €50m, after joining the La Liga champions for €40m last summer.

Should he move away, it will be interesting to see how Barca replace the midfielder as they hope to improve on their performances in the Champions League in recent years.
