Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is reportedly an option for Barcelona in this summer’s transfer market as they chase new signings in midfield.
The Serbia international has shone in Serie A and looks one of the best young players on the planet, so seems a perfect fit for the Catalan giants at the moment.
Mundo Deportivo links Milinkovic-Savic with Barcelona, though they also report that other top clubs in Europe are after the 23-year-old.
It has also been claimed today by Il Messaggero, as translated by talkSPORT, that Manchester United and Real Madrid are in talks to sign him this summer.
Mundo Deportivo state that Milinkovic-Savic would cost around £70million, though that Il Messaggero piece values him a lot higher at around £130m.
Having lost Paulinho and Andres Iniesta as options in midfield this summer, Barcelona certainly need a quality performer to pull the strings from the middle of the park.
Barca have a proud tradition of creative players and a passing game, and Milinkovic-Savic seems an ideal candidate to fit in with that philosophy.
