Defender unhappy at club’s failure to offer him a new contract.
Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna is set to leave the club in the summer according to The Daily Express.
The defender is reported to be unhappy at the club’s failure to offer him a new contract.
Sagna’s failure to replicate his form of recent seasons has been on the reasons why Arsenal have fallen away in the race for a Champions League spot this season.
The club look set to miss out on Champions League qualification for the first time since manager Arsene Wenger took charge of the club.
Sagna had reportedly been hoping for an offer that would improve his current £60,000 a week wages.
The defender has enjoyed a tumultuous relationship with the club’s management in recent times after publicly criticising the decision to sell Dutch striker Robin Van Persie to Manchester United last summer.
PSG are rumoured to be interested in making a bid for the player should he become available. Arsenal may well be ready to listen to offers as they look to avoid a repeat of the situation that has seen a number of key players leave on free transfers in recent years.
The Ligue 1 side may find they have competition for the player’s signature however as both AC and Inter Milan are rumoured to be admirers of the full-back.
