The Premier League duo are reportedly keeping tabs on AC Milan striker Stephan El Shaarawy, according to talkSPORT.
The 20-year-old had been in red hot form before Christmas, hitting 14 goals, but he has managed to find the net just twice since the turn of the year.
And despite only signing a new contract extension in February, tying him to the San Siro side until 2018, but he’s reportedly told friends that he is unhappy at Milan and finding his situation increasingly difficult to cope with.
El Shaarawy was dropped ahed of this weekends top of the table clash against Napoli causing further speculation over his future.
It seems that his dip in form hasn’t dissuaded suitors from taking a greater interest in his services, though, as both English clubs have been joined in the line by Milan’s weekend opponents, Napoli.
Arsenal are still looking for a replacement for Robin Van Persie, as Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski have so far failed to fill the Dutchman’s boots, and there are still doubts surrounding the future of Edin Dzeko at Eastlands.
Napoli, meanwhile, are already looking for replacements for in demand Uruguayan striker, Edinson Cavani, who has been strongly linked with a move away from the Serie A outfit this summer.
