Gunner may leave the club next year according to former player.
Arsenal midfield player Jack Wilshere could quit the North London club at the end of next season, says one-time fans’ favourite Perry Groves, reports the Daily Star.
The 21-year-old has only just returned to the first team following a month on the sidelines with an ankle injury, and is considered to be an absolutely vital part of head coach Arsene Wenger’s long-term plans.
However, there is also a growing acceptance in north London that unless the Frenchman can guide the team to some silverware next season, after what has been eight long years without a trophy at the Emirates, then the England international could very well consider his future at the club.
This would of course not be the first time that Wenger has had to watch one of his star players walk out on Arsenal following the recent much-publicised departures of the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri, Robin van Persie and Alex Song.
