Baggies want Serie A stars at the Hawthorns next season.

West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke is already eyeing up new additions over the summer and could begin with a double raid on Italian side Bologna according to the Express & Star.

Right back Gyorgy Garics and midfielder Saphir Taïder have both caught Clarke’s eye and his scouts have been over to the peninsula a number of times to check on the pair.

29-year-old Garics began his career at Rapid Vienna in his homeland before moving to Italy to turn out for sides like Napoli and Atalanta. He joined Bologna in 2010 and has gone on to make just under 100 appearances for the club. 28 of which have come this season that has also seen him score once and wrack up three assists.

Also a seasoned international, he has picked up 31 caps for Austria. He is valued at £1.7 million.

The French-born Algerian international, Taider began his career in France with Grenoble before joining Bologna in 2011 for £2.5 million. He has since made 37 appearances in Italy and earlier this year broke into the Algerian national set up. Having represented France at numerous youth levels he decided to switch allegiances to the land of his parents birth and scored in his one and only call up so far in a 3-1 win over Benin.

For the Austrian Garics, a move to West Brom could represent a final stab at the Premier League before his career begins to dip whilst Taider is considered as one for the future. Both could be available for a combined fee of around £5 million.
