German international tempted by move to Premier League.
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has revealed he would be tempted by a move to England or Spain according to Sky Sports.
But the tenacious player insists he is happy to remain with Dortmund for the time being and is in no rush to leave the Bundesliga giants.
Gundogan has been in fine form for Dortmund over the past season and has been an integral part of the team that has gone on to reach the semi finals of the Champions League.
Those performances have not gone unnoticed by other clubs and a number of top European sides are thought to be taking a closer look at Gundogan.
Reports in recent weeks have suggested that Real Madrid are at the front of a queue of potential suitors with the Bernabeu club reportedly identifying Gundogan as the perfect replacement for Xabi Alonso.
The Spanish midfielder is currently hesitating over a new contract with the club and that could pave the way for Madrid to make their move for Gundogan.
While Gundogan wished to stress that he has no immediate plans to leave Dortmund, he admitted that he would like to challenge himself in the English or Spanish leagues at some point in his career.
“It is not reprehensible to answer such questions (of a future career in England or Spain) with ‘yes’,” said Gundogan.
“Everyone has a childhood dream on what he would like to achieve one day and my dream always was to play in England or Spain.
“I am 100 per cent sure that I will still be with Dortmund next season.
“Rumours do not really affect me. I still have two more years on my contract with Dortmund and I know what I have at this incredible club.
“It is very likely that I will sign a new contract, although it obviously depends on how talks go.”
