Liberty Stadium side keen on in-form La Liga hit-man.
Swansea City are said to be interested in Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo but Michael Laudrup is unwilling to meet the La Liga side’s £13m valuation according to the Daily Express.
The in-form 27 year old has previously expressed his interest in a move to the Premier League and is also being tracked by both Tottenham and Everton.
Laudrup has shopped regularly in the Spanish top tier since joining Swansea City, a league he clearly knows well from both his playing and early managerial days, and having seen the successful manner in which the likes of Chico Flores and Michu have adapted to life in England the Dane is clearly keen to repeat the trick this summer.
Negredo is a consistent La Liga finisher who has scored a dozen plus goals in each of his last six seasons, including 24 goals in all competitions this term.
Speaking of his interest in a move to England Negredo has stated; “It is a league that I like and sooner or later I will play in it.”
Sevilla are in some financial difficulty, hence perhaps their push for a big fee for the former Real Madrid man, however they may elect to take a lesser fee if they are desperate enough to cash in on the Spanish international.
