Anfield side target young Nou Camp forward.
Liverpool are readying a move for Barcelona youngster Cristian Tello according to Spanish source Marca.
The Anfield side are keen on the talented attacker and this source states the player’s valuation at a very affordable €10m (£8.4m) though Tello’s fortunes may be inextricably linked to another Nou Camp star’s future.
Isaac Cuenca has spent the current campaign at Ajax, helping the Dutch side to an Eredivisie title, but a second season long spell is now in the balance as the two sides haggle over compensation for such a deal, which in turn could affect Tello’s spot on the periphery of Tito Vilanova’s first team set-up.
The 21 year old has impressed when called upon this term, notching up seven La Liga goals despite being handed just 11 starts. The locally born attacker battles the likes of David Villa, Pedro and Alexis Sanchez for a berth supporting Lionel Messi up front and has excelled in a wide attacking role and is now on the fringes of a full Spanish national team call-up.
Brendan Rodgers may well be keen to land Tello as part of his continuing youthful transfer policy and the Barcelona starlet may feel his long term career prospects could benefit from a move to join the Merseyside club.
