Arsenal target could join for just £15million.
The Metro are claiming that Arsenal could receive a big boost in that they could land Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic for £10million less than the Serie A club’s original asking price.
The Montenegro forward has been linked with the Gunners for much of the season, and could be the Gunners’ first major signing of the summer, joining for as little as £15million, as opposed to the £25million originally mooted.
Manchester City and Juventus have also been linked with the 23-year-old, but he has previously spoken of his honour at being linked with Arsenal.
With 12 goals in Serie A this season, Jovetic would add some extra quality to Arsenal’s attack, which has struggled at times since the departure of Robin van Persie last summer.
Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski were signed by Arsene Wenger to plug the gap, but have been inconsistent in their first seasons in English football, and the Gunners could do with more depth in that area.
The North London club have also been linked with Barcelona striker David Villa, but he now looks set to join rivals Tottenham for around £12million.
