Chelsea have appointed Jose Mourinho as manager for the second time this week and the first job for the Portuguese will be to sanction David Luiz departure to Barcelona.
The Daily Star is reporting that Mourinho is set to be unveiled at a press conference tomorrow and will get rid of Luiz’s for £30 million.
Barcelona are front runners for the Brazilians signature and they see Luiz as the ideal candidate to sort out their defensive problems.
The Spanish champions have been on the hunt for a central defender since they missed out on Thiago Silva, who moved to Paris St Germain.
Barca could have competition from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Bayern’s new manager Pep Guardiola is a known admired of Luiz and may look to put in a bid for the 26 year old.
Mourinho is determined to start his second spell at Chelsea without Luiz and may use the cash generated from the sale to make a move for Napoli striker Edison Cavini.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich looks set to back Mourinho this summer by spending big to rejuvenate an ageing squad.
