Argentine favours move to Juventus.
Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain looks set to snub a move to Arsenal for Juventus this summer, according to the Daily Star.
The Argentine has been placed on the transfer list by Real Madrid as they look to re-shape their squad this summer after a poor season in which they failed to win a trophy.
A number of players are likely to leave as a new manager is also brought in to replace Jose Mourinho, who was confirmed as the new Chelsea boss yesterday.
Higuain is supposedly available for around £22million, and has been attracting strong interest from Arsenal and Juventus, though it now seems that a move to the Serie A champions is his preference.
Arsenal have been keen to sign a new striker this summer, but are not known for spending big money on well-established players like Higuain, and may now pursue other targets who could be available for cheaper.
Juventus, meanwhile, are celebrating a second title win in a row and want to keep improving their squad to maintain their dominance in Italy as well as put in a stronger challenge in the Champions League.
Higuain has been one of their main targets, and they will be favourites to land him now, but may still also move for the likes of Javier Hernandez and Edin Dzeko, both of whom have also been linked.
