PSG are understood to have prepared a bid for Chelsea star David Luiz according to the Telegraph.
The Parc des Princes side apparently see the 26 year old as a potential replacement for fellow Brazilian, and former Chelsea defender, Alex and the West London side are said to be looking to garner around £33m from any potential sale of the player.
Jose Mourinho is said to be open to the possibility of cashing in on Luiz as he sets about re-shuffling his defensive pack. The returning boss may well feel that defensively the Chelsea man is prone to making mistakes and is lining up a move for FC Porto’s Eliaquim Mangala who could perhaps be a more reliable centre-back option.
Though Luiz is said to be very popular with his Blues team-mates Mourinho has his reservations about his consistency and with Barcelona also tracking the Chelsea man the Premier League club may well be hoping that a bidding war for the player ensues.
Luiz was a regular in Chelsea’s first team set-up last term, notching up 54 starts in all competitions.
If David Luiz were to move to Ligue 1 big spenders PSG he would join a number of his fellow countrymen with the likes of Thiago Silva, Lucas Moura and Maxwell among Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
