The player is said to be interested in a move to the Premier League.
Celtic have rejected a transfer bid from Hull City for striker Gary Hooper according to Sky Sports.
The bid is thought to be just over £4 million and Celtic have moved quickly to reject the bid.
The striker is subject to a lot of interest from clubs in England, with Norwich City having had four bids rejected by the Scottish Champions for Hooper.
It remains to be seen whether Hull will come back with a higher offer but the clubs manager Steve Bruce is an admirer of Hooper and is looking to sign a striker that will score the goals that keep Hull in the Premier League.
Hooper is keen on a move back to England, having played for Scunthorpe United in the past.
The striker wants to move back to England so that he can force his way into the England side before next summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
Hooper only has one year left on his contract with Celtic and will not sign a contract extension because of his desire to move back to England so Celtic may look to sell the striker before he can move away for free next summer.
