Barcelona’s David Villa has insisted that he won’t be thinking about his club future until after the Confederations Cup in Brazil according to Goal.com.

The striker has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer, with the player unhappy at the lack of first team opportunities at Barca last season.

Villa is set to play even less next season after Barca signed Brazilian striker Neymar for £48 million, increasing the competition for places at the Spanish champions.

However, the striker will not consider his club future until after the Confederations Cup, with Villa wanting to focus solely on performing for his country.

“Throughout my career I have always been respectful of my current club. Right now I’m just thinking about doing a good job in Brazil [at the Confederations Cup] and then we will see,” said Villa.

The Spanish striker has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham said to be looking at signing the striker during the summer.

Both Tottenham and Arsenal have reportedly tabled £10 million bids for Villa and the striker is known to be interested in a move to North London.

Arsenal may be in pole position at the moment, with the Gunners being able to offer Villa Champions League football next season.
