Sevilla midfielder Luis Alberto has said that he has yet to decide where his future lies according to Sky Sports.
Liverpool were thought to be ready to pay Sevilla £6 million for the highly rated midfielder who is one of manager Brendan Rodgers main transfer targets this summer.
The 20 year old has recently completed a successful season on loan at Barcelona B and is now back with Sevilla.
The player has declined to confirm where his future lies, be it at Liverpool or staying with Sevilla.
“Nothing is decided,” said Alberto when asked about a possible move to Liverpool.
“I cannot say anything more as I don’t know and that is the truth. At the moment I am calm and thinking about my holidays.”
Liverpool look free to try and make Luis Alberto their player after Barcelona said they would not exercise their option on the player.
It remains to be seen whether the highly rated Spanish under 21 player will end up at Anfield next season.
It promises to be a busy summer at Anfield, with the club trying desperately to hold onto star striker Luis Suarez, who has been linked with a move Real Madrid.
Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Swansea centre back Ashley Williams and Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
