French cham[ions keen to tempt centre back to the French capital.
Wealthy French champions PSG are preparing a bid for Chelsea’s David Luiz according to The Mirror.
Last season’s Ligue 1 winners are looking to improve their squad as they look to defend their title at home as well as mount an improved attempt on the Champions League trophy.
They have reportedly identified Luiz as the perfect man to shore up their defence and are ready to make an approach for the player.
Should Luiz arrive in the French capital, that could raise the prospect of a defensive partnership with his Brazilian compatriot Thiago Silva.
Silva has reportedly expressed a belief that if the pair were to play together at domestic level, it could do Brazil’s chance of winning the World Cup next year the world of good.
Luiz time at Stamford Bridge appears to be numbered as he is not thought to be highly rated by news Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.
The Special One apparently believes Luiz to be too lightweight in midfield and too unreliable in defence which could pave the way for the Brazilian’s exit this summer.
Officials at the club though disagree, with some seeing the 26 year old as a future captain of the club, and are keen to retain his services.
