The striker has told close friends that he would like to move to Stamford Bridge.
Edinson Cavani wants to move to Chelsea this summer and has his heart set on joining Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge, Goal.com understands.
The striker wants to play in the Premier League and is ready to snub interest from Real Madrid and Paris St Germain in order to play in England’s top flight.
However, Napoli are still refusing to budge on their £53 million valuation of the striker and will not sell Cavani for anything less.
Chelsea are not willing to pay that much for Cavani and the striker is set to hold talks with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis about lowering his asking price.
Real Madrid and Paris St Germain are also interested in the striker with the French Champions submitting a bid of £43 million for Cavani earlier this week.
However Cavani has his heart set on a move to Chelsea and feels his style of play will suit the Premier League.
“Although Edinson loves Real Madrid, he feels that his style would fit the Premier League much better, and Chelsea are the only chance he has of playing there,” a source close to the player revealed to Goal.
It will all come down to whether Cavani can persuade Napoli to lower their asking price or he may have to stay with the Italian side for another season.
