Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris St Germain are all also understood to be interested in the 19 year old.
Manchester United are battling it out with Barcelona and Paris St Germain in a bid to sign Roma’s talented young centre back Marquinhos, the Daily Star reports.
The French Champions were thought to be leading the race to sign the young Brazilian after revealing that they had placed a £30 million bid for the defender but they may now have to contend with the interest from United and Barca.
The players agent, Roberto Calenda revealed that Roma are open to letting the youngster leave the club for the right price.
He said: “Roma has told us that there is the possibility of a sale, and we’ll respect the decision they take”.
“There are offers from PSG, Barcelona and Manchester United, and it’s possible the club accepts one of those.”
Manchester City and Chelsea are also reportedly monitoring the situation surrounding the defender and may now follow United’s suit in bidding for Maruinhos.
The Brazilian is one of the most highly rated young centre backs in world football, with many believing that the player has a very bright future ahead of him.
The chances of Roma keeping him look very unlikely due to interest that surrounds his signature.
