Celtic striker passes medical with Norfolk club.
Celtic striker Gary Hooper is on the verge of signing for Norwich City after passing a medical at the club according to Sky Sports.
Hooper has been in prolific form for the Scottish champions in recent seasons and was an integral part of the Celtic team that progressed to the knock-out stages of last season’s Champions League.
He has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months, including the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham and was thought to have been close to securing a move to the Premier League during the January transfer window.
Norwich are understood to have made four attempts to sign the striker on the last day of the January transfer window, with their last offer reported to have been in the region of £9 million.
Celtic turned down the bid though as they felt they would not have had enough time to sign a replacement, but it now appears that he is set to arrive at Carrow Road at the second time of asking.
Provided the 25 year old can agree personal terms with the club, he is expected to sign in a £5 million deal.
He joins the likes of Ricky Van Wolfswinkel and Nathan Redmond who have also arrived in East Anglia this summer.
