Arsenal and Tottenham are preparing bids for highly-rated Real Betis winger Alvaro Vadillo, according to the Daily Mail.

The youngest player ever to feature in La Liga, Vadillo, dubbed ‘the new Cristiano Ronaldo’ is a reported target for both North London clubs as they look to add to their attacking options this summer. With a similar build to Ronaldo, with the same flair, trickery and pace, Vidallo is one of the hottest prospects in Spain.

The 18-year old winger was a former target of Manchester United, who had a £2.5million bid turned down in October 2011. Betis manager Pepe Mel claims his target ‘could be worth €12million’ after he heavily featured in Spain’s U19 European Championship side, where he scored in a 3-2 win over Holland.

‘We are studying offers for him and there has been a concrete one recently from a foreign team’ Mel was quoted as saying in Spanish source Marca. Arsenal, having sold winger Gervinho this week to AS Roma, are looking for more attacking options, and see Vadillo as an ideal summer signing to bring through the ranks and really develop into a top player in the future.

Tottenham, who look set to sell Gareth Bale this week to Real Madrid in a £100million deal, are keen to reinvest that cash as soon as they can, following the arrival of Roberto Soldado from Valencia for £26million. Vadillo would compete with Nacer Chadli for playing time on the left wing, but gives they some vital depth ahead of the new season.
