As Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger looks to continue his mass overhaul that has already seen 12 leave [not including Gervinho or Chamakh], with another two [Yennaris and Miquel] set for a loan spell at Leicester City any time soon.

The latest in the firing line is Denmark international Nicklas Bendtner who once branded himself the ‘best striker in Europe’. His wage demands have been the main issue so far as Spanish side Malaga have already failed to reach an agreement this window.

But Malaga are now desperate for a striker, and have therefore rekindled their interest in Arsenal flop Bendtner who only managed eight appearances whilst on loan to Italian giants Juventus last campaign – despite their lack of attacking options.

Juve have now signed Carlos Tevez from Manchester City and Fernando Llorente on a free, following his release from Athletic Bilbao, so the Italians had no interest in taking Bendtner back at the club.

Arsenal on the other hand are no fazed by the failure of their forwards as they look to clear out Chamakh and Bendtner this summer in order to make room for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

The Uruguay international had a successful campaign last year, bagging 29 goals in 41 appearances [all competitions]. Despite his controversial antics, Wenger thinks Suarez is just what he needs to help his London based side climb back up and fight for the Premier League title.

It is believed Suarez may set back the Gunners over £50million as Ian Ayre values him higher than he did Fernando Torres.
