Kiwi  returns to the A-League
All Whites winger Kosta Barbarouses will be hoping to rekindle a successful partnership with Ange Postecoglou, after putting pen to paper on a three year deal for the Dark Blues.

The forward was top of the goalscorer charts in Postecoglous’s 2010/11 title winning Brisbane Roar side, who went on to become the first team to win back to back A-Leagues.

The 23-year old joins Victory fresh from a loan spell at Panathinaikos, Victory Coach Postecoglou is relishing the chance of working with the youngster again.

Speaking to Football Australia, he said: ” We are delighted to have Kosta on board with us at Melbourne Victory and he will add even more attacking flair to our team this season.

“Kosta has plenty of pace, great technical ability and is a proven scorer, having netted 12 goals the last time he played in the A-League.”

“While he’s only 23, he has made over 50 appearances at Brisbane Roar and Wellington Phoenix, so he’s certainly aware of what is required to perform at this level, and I know he’s excited to be returning to the A-League.”

Barbarouses missed out on the Beijing Olympics and 2010 World Cup with his country, despite playing qualifying games in both competitions.

The former Wellington Phoenix man will be desperate to impress his old boss to ensure he dosn’t get left out of another major tournament.
