Chamakh becomes Ian Holloway’s seventh signing of the summer so far as the Eagles prepare for life back in the Premier League.
Crystal Palace have completed the signing of striker of Marouane Chamakh from Arsenal on a one year deal, Goal.com reports.
The striker didn’t make any appearances for the Gunners in last years Premier League campaign and will hope for more first team opportunities at Selhurst Park this season.
The Moroccan becomes the Eagles seventh signing of the summer, with club already having acquired, Jose Campana, Stephen Dobbie, Dwight Gayle, Elliot Grandin, Kevin Philips and Jerome Thomas.
Manager Ian Holloway has been looking to sign a striker all summer, with Palace set to miss star front-man Glen Murray for most of the season due to injury.
Holloway has been linked with moves for West Brom’s Peter Odemwingie and Aston Villa’s Darren Bent but has now settled on Chamakh, who could make his debut in the Eagles first game of the Premier League season against Tottenham on August 18th.
Palace are tipped by many pundits as favourites for relegation this season and Holloway is doing everything that he can to strengthen to Eagles squad before the transfer window closes on 2nd September.
