Real Madrid midfielder close to sealing move to French giants.
French Radio Monte Carlo reports that Real Madrid midfielder and Chelsea target Sami Khedira could be close to joining PSG, according to Soccer News.
The German international looks to have fallen down the pecking order this season under new manager Carlo Ancelotti, with two new midfielders in Asier Illarramendi and Casemiro brought to the Bernabeu.
Khedira has been a key player for Los Blancos since joining the club from Stuttgart in 2010, and was a favourite of former manager Jose Mourinho, now in charge again for a second spell at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea seemed a likely destination for the 26-year-old this summer, as the Blues have also been linked with the likes of Xabi Alonso and Daniele De Rossi in a bid to strengthen their midfield options.
However, PSG have also been enjoying another summer of spending, and are keen to add Khedira to their star-studded squad, whilst also pursuing a more attack-minded midfield player in Yohan Cabaye of Newcastle.
With the start of the new Premier League season just days away, Chelsea may have to make do with what they have for now, though they are still believed to have fixed their attentions on Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
