Emirates Stadium side face fight to sign Bundesliga midfielder.
Arsenal face a fight to land highly rated Schalke startlet Julian Draxler with Juventus also readying a move for the German youngster according to The Sun.
The 20 year old midfielder is a long term Arsene Wenger target and is it though that the Serie A side are set to make a £34m offer for his services, a fee that the North London side may well have to match to keep up with the Turin based side in pursuit of Draxler.
Though Arsene Wenger spent a club record £42m on German international Mesut Ozil his side does arguably more urgently need more steel in his side to help balance out the abundance of creativity in his Gunners squad and Draxler is perhap a more complete package that the star signing brought in from Real Madrid.
Draxler is a rangy performer who has already racked up 118 club appearances and has seven national team caps to his name and is a player Schalke may struggle to keep hold on to for much longer.
Such a player is certainly more akin to the targets Wenger usually sets his sights on but forking out £30m+ for such a young talent could still cause the Premier League side to consider their options long and hard, despite their recent big money capture.
