Gunners boss has no answers over forward’s absence.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is just as in the dark as everyone else over the injury to forward Theo Walcott and confessed that he doesn’t know how long he will be out for, Sky Sports reports.
Wenger also admitted that he wasn’t entirely sure as to what Walcott’s injury is either, rendering the whole affair a complete mystery.
Walcott was in line to start in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Stoke City at the Emirates before picking up an injury in the warm-up.
And Wenger said: “He had an abdominal muscle problem, I don’t really know what it is.
“Nobody can tell me whether it is just a question of days.
“He had a test before the game and I decided to play him but he had a little problem before the Marseille game (last week) and it then became a bit worse.
“It’s a bit mysterious, because we don’t really know what it is.”
Arsenal have two matches to contend with this week as they first face off with West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday in the Capital One Cup before taking on Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday.
Walcott has featured in seven of Arsenal’s games this season, scoring once and creating four assists.
