Gunners set sights on Serie A midfield star.
Arsenal could be set to make another big splash in the transfer market this January as they reportedly make Lazio midfielder Hernanes one of their top targets, according to talkSPORT.
The Brazilian star has been a top performer for the Serie A side for the last few years, earning a reputation as a great all-round midfield player with high work-rate, good passing and a powerful shot from long range.
However, the Gunners will now hope to step up their interest in the 28-year-old when the transfer window re-opens, as they eye some extra depth in their midfield, with the likes of Mikel Arteta, Abou Diaby and Santi Cazorla missing large chunks of the season through injury so far this year.
Hernanes’ highly technical style of play would see him fit in well at the Emirates Stadium, and Arsene Wenger is ready to spend big to ensure he lands his man, as he is supposedly willing to pay as much as £25m on the Brazil international.
