Emirates Stadium side target Parc des Princes youngster.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly scouting PSG youngster Adrien Rabiot according to CalcioMercato.
The 18 year old burst onto the scene last term after a successful loan spell at Toulouse led to a call-up to the Parc des Princes first team set-up and the rangy midfielder’s form has led to a recognition at French Under 21 international level to boot.
Wenger is obviously no stranger to the acquiring of young French talent though one wonders if PSG would entertain the notion of selling one of Europe’s hottest young prospects.
Rabiot may have his work cut out trying to force his way into a more prominent role in Laurent Blanc’s PSG side and has managed just two starts in the Ligue 1 side’s opening ten matches of the season.
The box to box performer could well add more steel to the Arsenal midfield though the free transfer acquisition of Mathieu Flamini has very much dealt with that ‘problem area’ very handily.
With Arsenal now once again challenging for major silverware it will be interesting to see if Arsene Wenger reverts to type when it comes to future signings or whether he elects to spend big on established talent having seen the instant impact German Mesut Ozil has made since his £42.5m move to the Emirates Stadium.
