Both north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been given a huge boost in their efforts to sign in-demand Lazio midfield player Hernanes after it emerged that the Brazilian will demand to quit the Serie A giants as soon as the winter transfer window opens again for business at the turn of the year, according to reports on Football Italia.
The exciting Brazil international has been linked with a whole host of big-name clubs from across the Continent of late, with the Premier League duo also being joined by in-form Liga oufit Atletico de Madrid recently in the race to win Hernanes’s signature.
And all three clubs have been given a massive lift in their bid to lure the 28-year-old away from the Stadio Olimpico in the new year after Hernanes made it clear to the Romans that he would be handing in a transfer request come the turn of the year.
As a result, it is now believed that Lazio would be prepared to allow their star man to depart the Italian capital in January on the condition that any interested suitor meet their 25 million euro asking price in full for the player, who has a contract in Rome that runs until June 2015.
