Emirates Stadium side keen on Baggies battler.
Arsenal are reportedly readying a £7m bid for West Brom battler Youssouf Mulumbu according to the Sunday Mirror.
Arsene Wenger brought in Mathieu Flamini over the summer in order to add some much needed steel to his midfield and though the Frenchman has impressed since making his Gunners return he has had some injury concerns and as such the Arsneal boss may be keen on a back-up option.
Arsenal scouted Mulumbu as last weekend and was given a glowing reference from watching representatives and Wenger will have the cash to make a bid for the 26 year old in the January transfer window.
Mulumbu only recently signed a new long term contract so it could be tough to persuade the Baggies to sell the Congo international.
Come January Arsenal will want to keep up their push for major honours and Mulumbu would presumably be keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium.
The former PSG man moved to the Hawthorns in January 2009 and has subsequently racked up 162 appearances for the Baggies.
