With Arsene Wenger looking to strengthen his attack a move for the 32 year old Bulgarian has become a distinct possibility and could well be an ideal cost effective way of supporting the club’s push for a long awaited Premier League title.

Fulham are ready to allow Berbatov to leave and any deal would be nominal and the former Man United and Tottenham would more than likely jump at the chance of a fresh challenge, especially with Champions League football on offer for the experienced cultured forward.

Arsenal have been overly reliant on Olivier Giroud thus far this season, especially with Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski suffering with injury concerns, so a move for Berbatov could well not be as fanciful as it at first seems.

Berbatov is a proven Premier League goal-scorer having scored a total of 91 goals in 221 top tier appearances, of which 34 came from the bench.
