Arsenal are reportedly closing in on a £6.5m deal to sign highly rated Belgian Michy Batshuayi according to talkSPORT.

The North London club have been identified as likely to be the ‘unnamed’ Premier League side who are ready to fork out £6.5m to sign the 20 year old and then immediately loan him out to Anderlecht for the rest of the current campaign.
Arsene Wenger is of course well known for penchant for signing up and coming talents and is need of attacking reinforcements and may well feel that despite his obvious potential Batshuayi would benefit from remaining in the Belgian top tier.
Batshuayi is the top scorer in the Belgian top tier, netting 12 goals in 17 domestic fixtures plus another two in Europa League action, and has scored five goals in 11 matches for the Belgian Under 21 national team.
Arsenal have overly relied upon Olivier Giroud this season, the French forward managing to score in just one of his last 11 appearances for the Gunners, and with Lukas Podolski only just returning from long term injury, and there is certainly a need for a January addition that could beef up their attacking options so a move to loan the youngster to Anderlecht therefore looks a little odd.
