Ligue 1 side to make mammoth offer for Nou Camp star.
Ligue 1 title holders PSG are ready to launch a world record shattering £210m bid for ‘unsettled’ Barcelona star Lionel Messi according to the Daily Mail.
The Parc des Princes side are ready to meet the 26 year old Argentine’s massive release clause amid speculation about the player’s Nou Camp future.
The Barcelona star is apparently unhappy about ongoing contract negotiations and has publicly admonished director Javier Faus, leading to talk of a shock exit from the Catalan giants.
Messi is currently on a £13.5m year deal that runs until 2018 and Faus stated that a new deal is not on the table, following discussions in the press that the four time Ballon d’Or winner would seek parity with Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo, who has earned a new contract worth £15m a year.
Messi responded to Faus stance by stating:
‘Faus is a person that doesn’t know anything about football and wants to run Barelona like a business – which it isn’t.’
Lionel Messi has been out injured for some weeks and Barcelona have managed to win with ease without their star performer, which could further talk that the club would entertain massive offers for the forward.
PSG may well be looking to form a mouthwatering attacking trio of Messi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani.
