Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong is being widely tipped to make an exit from the club during the January transfer market, according to Sky Sports.

The 22-year-old has not featured at all for the club this season and is hoping to book a move elsewhere to continue his development and play more first team football.

A number of Premier League and Championship sides are said to be vying for his signature, whilst there is also some interest from overseas too.

The Ghanaian international is out of contract at the end of the season, and boss Arsene Wenger is said to be willing to let him leave the club after falling way down in the pecking order.

Frimpong came through the youth ranks with Arsenal has never truly been able to establish himself in north London and has spent time away on loan with the likes of Fulham, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic.

His progress has also been hampered by injury problems over the years too, though he is now looking to move on elsewhere to give himself a better chance at making into the Ghana team for this summer’s World Cup.
