Arsenal Take Step Closer to Securing Summer Move for £40m Italian International

Sportswear giants Puma are understood to be keen to unite AC Milan front man Mario Balotelli with Premier League leaders Arsenal at the end of the season, according to reports in the Metro.

The manufacturing giants sponsor the controversial Italy international, while the firm have also just won a deal to make the north London club’s kit as well.

And as such, Puma are said to now be keen to bring their two clients together into a working relationship that would see Balo wearing the red and white Arsenal kit at the Emirates as of net season.

In fact, it is even understood that Puma would be willing to subsidise part of the player’s big-money move to the capital this summer by paying as much as £15m of any potential transfer of the forward, with the Rossoneri believed to value Balotelli at as much as the £40m mark.

The 23-year-old has been in eye-catching form since leaving Manchester City for San Siro this time last year, with the attacker managing to find the back of the net on 25 occasions in total in his 38 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A giants.
