Potters supporters responsible for torrent of abuse aimed at Emirates Stadium midfielder.
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is seemingly the subject of a hate campaign conducted by Stoke City supporters.
Football Direct News reports that the Welsh international has received a great deal of abuse at the hands of some Potters supporters, which is to say the least very bizarre.
The 23 year old suffered a broken leg after a horrific tackle by centre-back Ryan Shawcross back in 2010 and has been booed at every opportunity by Stoke City fans ever since.
Though Ramsey is unavailable for clash between Arsenal and Stoke City this coming weekend this hasn’t prevented such abuse from taking place, indeed the internet campaign is already in full swing.
A number of vile messages were posted Stoke City fanzine ‘The Oatcake’, here are a handful of the messages from ‘fans’:
“Can we get a sign in the disabled section with Ramsey on?”
“One minute of applause in the 67th minute (no songs), followed by one minutes rendition of Aaron Ramsey you’re a w****r in the 68th minute and ‘he walks with a limp’ for one minute in the 69th minute.”
Clearly any visit to the Britannia Stadium is a tough one but Arsenal will have to be at their best to return from Stoke City with all three points.
Indeed under Mark Hughes Stoke City have lost just two of their 13 home fixtures this term.
