The young Costa Rica international is in the headlines on Wednesday morning after his wonder goal helped the Greek champions overcome Premier League giants Manchester United 2-0 in the first leg of their Uefa Champions League round-of-16 clash in the Greek capital on Tuesday night in what was a huge upset.

However, the 21-year-old, who was sent out on a season-long loan to Athens at the start of this campaign, says that he wants to return to the north London club this summer after his loan spell in Greece comes to an end.

“As soon as Arsenal came, I wanted to join them and I believe I am ready to play for Arsenal next season,” he said.

“I know I have the capacity to play there. I am only waiting for the opportunity. With hard work I know I can get there.

“United showed an interest in me when I was moving to Europe but I have been an Arsenal fan since I was a child and that’s why I chose them.”
