Villa Park side target White Hart Lane wide-man.
Aston Villa are reportedly taking a keen interest in Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon after it emerged the wide-man may be set for a White Hart Lane exit according to Football Direct News.
The 26 year old has prove ineffective this term, scoring just one goal and providing one assist in 20 Premier League appearances, and it’s therefore perhaps no surprise that the speedy attacker could be sold by Tim Sherwood this summer.
Lennon is into his ninth season at Tottenham but is now playing for his future and will have to improve his displays in the final months of the current campaign to prevent his departure.
Paul Lambert wants to bring Lennon to Villa Park a move that could perhaps reignite the former Leeds United man’s career though Swansea City are also monitoring the England international.
Tottenham brought in Lennon for a bargain fee of just £1m back in June 2005 and the pint-sized attacker has made a total of 335 appearances for the club.
