Gunners want to bring Lille youngster to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal have made €13m bid for Belgian wonderkid Divock Origi, according to TMW.
The 18-year-old currently plays for Ligue 1 outfit Lille and has become a regular in the side this season, bagging four goals in 24 appearances.
Several other Premier League clubs are said to be monitoring the progress of the Belgium under-21 international but Arsenal have made the first move to sign him.
The youngster has been utilised as a winger for most of this season but prefers to operate as a central striker.
The Gunners are in desperate need of striking reinforcements, with Nicklas Bendtner almost certain to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, leaving just Yaya Sanogo as back-up to Olivier Giroud.
But fans of the north London club will be dismayed to see boss Arsene Wenger again putting his faith in an unproven youngster, rather than targeting an established name.
