Italian youngster tops Wenger’s wish list.
Paris Saint Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has been identified as a summer transfer priority for Arsenal this summer and Arsene Wenger will press ahead with a £17m offer for the young Italian, according to the Metro.

The 21-year-old has made more of an impact on the French giants this season, where he has featured regularly, but he has failed to score a single goal for the club in over 50 appearances and reports in Italy are suggesting that coach Laurent Blanc could be willing to cash in on him at the end of the season.
The Gunners have seen yet another promising title challenge slip away from them in recent weeks and manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly already looking to the summer to boost his squad in preparation for next season, ensuring that nothing like this happens again.
Verratti is currently under contract in the French capital until 2018, but Wenger believes that an offer of around £17m may be enough to convince them to sell as they hope to create space in their own squad for some more new arrivals.
PSG have Yohan Cabaye and Javier Pastore capable on covering, while the Gunners could see Verratti as the ideal long-term replacement for the aging Mikel Arteta.
