Arsene Wenger is keen to strengthen his Gunners attack and will fight Tottenham for the 23 year old Italian international, who’s goals have helped cement Rudi Garcia’s push for a second place finish in Serie A behind runaway leaders Juventus.
Destro is into his second season at the Stadio Olimpico and has hit a fine run of form of late, scoring seven goals in his last six Serie A appearances.
One would imagine Garcia would fight to keep hold of the former Siena forward though interest from the Gunners may tempt Destro to consider a move to the English top tier.
Wenger is keen to bring in further striking options to offer overworked Frenchman Olivier Giroud some much needed support and a move for the Roma forward could be a sensible inexpensive option to consider.
Arsenal may well look to draw upon the relationship they have with the Italian capital club, who they did business with last summer as they sold attacker Gervinho to the Giallorossi.
