Benzema has been a top target for the Gunners ever since last summer, and with further troubles in front of goal again this season they have been heavily tipped to make a firmer offer for the France international again this time around.
However, despite forming a strong partnership with Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo at the Bernabeu, there are still question marks over his future, with many tipping him to move on as the club prepare another bumper move for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez.
Arsenal are still said to be keen, though reports in both France and Spain have suggested that the Ligue 1 champions will make him an attractive offer to bring him back to his home country.
Benzema moved to Real Madrid from French club Lyon in 2009 and, after a slow start to life in Spain, found himself as one of the league’s deadliest frontmen.
Benzema has bagged himself 24 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions for Real Madrid this season and could yet help his side win an historic treble.
