Attack-minded full-back keen to join the Gunners.
Toulouse defender Serge Aurier has admitted that he would find it hard to reject a summer move to Arsenal.
The 21-year-old Ivory Coast international has been strongly linked with the Gunners, who are poised to lose France right-back Bacary Sagna on a free transfer when his contract expires next month.
Aurier has enjoyed a fine season, scoring six goals and providing six assists in 34 Ligue 1 appearances, and earning a place in the Ligue 1 Team Of The Season.
However, he is keen to leave Toulouse this summer, with England his desired destination.
“It is true that I would be a bit disappointed to stay in Toulouse after a season like this one. I want to try something else,” Sky Sports quote Aurier as saying.
“I have never prioritised a club in England as even the promoted clubs are respectable, so I would take the opportunity for the one that will show the most interest in me, that will give me the most game time.
“After that, you can’t really say no to Arsenal.
“It is a club with history, with a French manager, who has welcomed many France players. Plus, Arsenal are always thereabouts when it comes to trophies and a club that plays in the Champions League.”
Despite having four years left to run on his current contract at Toulouse, it has been reported that Aurier could be available for a modest fee of £7m.
Aurier has been capped seven times at senior international level.
He was included in the Ivory Coast’s provisional 28-man squad for this summer’s World Cup in Brazil, being preferred to former Arsenal right-back Emmanuel Eboue, who is now at Galatasaray.
Eboue’s omission from his country’s World Cup party came as a surprise to many. The 30-year-old featured in 18 Super Lig games for Gala this season. He also started eight Champions League matches.
The Ivory Coast have been drawn in Group C, along with Colombia, Greece and Japan.
