The Gunners are in desperate need of another glovesman for next season, with Lukasz Fabianski and loanee Emiliano Viviano both set to leave, meaning Wojciech Szczesny would be the club’s only senior stopper.
Manager Arsene Wenger entrusted his faith into Szczesny this season, and though the Pole’s form showed a great improvement, it is believed that he has targeted the Stoke stopper to provide some much needed competition in between the sticks.
